Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap.
Our tap curriculum is graded to accommodate various age and competency levels. In our beginning classes, steps such as stomps, step heels, flaps, shuffles, and time steps will be taught and strengthened. In our more advanced classes, rhythms, technique, flash step, tap turns, improvisation, and various styles will be taught. No matter what your tap level, we have a class for you!
